Mutt Motorcycles officially opens its showroom in Clark

Mutt, a British motorcycle company that started out as a maker of high-end bespoke bikes, came to our shores last year thanks to United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI). It’s the same company that sells Foton and Chery vehicles in the Philippines, and they now sell classic-looking motorcycles to Filipinos.

And now UAAGI officially opens the first Mutt Motorcycles showroom in Clark Global City Pampanga.

Located at Gas Retail Plaza, Udenna Avenue corner 2nd Street, Clark Global City, Pampanga, the Mutt Motorcycles showroom is right in the heart of the developing area near Clark International Airport. It is near the SCTEX Clark South exit, located inside the Petron gas station.

“We are delighted to welcome British motorcycle enthusiasts to MUTT Motorcycles’ first official showroom here at Clark. These new bikes will bring a unique and fun new dimension to two-wheeled mobility – MUTT Motorcycles is nothing less than ‘a game-changer in the Philippine motorcycling scene,’ exclaimed Errol Duenas, President of United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI), the official exclusive distributor of MUTT Motorcycles in the Philippines.

Attended by UAAGI executives and a handful of members of the motoring media, Mutt Motorcycles’ new showroom is home to the British marque’s range of small-displacement, retro-looking motorcycles that are gaining traction among Filipino riders. The company has also paved the way for test drives, allowing attendees and future customers to experience what these retro British-designed bikes are all about.

The Mutt Motorcycles range is populated with various two-wheeled vehicles built in different ways. There’s the Universal Japanese Motorcycle (UJM)-looking Mutt GT-SS I’ve tested before, as well as the dirt-loving Mutt Akita, sporting a huge gas tank reminiscent of old Moto Guzzi bikes. V-twin. The Mutt Razorback has to be the model that grabs the attention of the bunch, as the supposed trail-ready bike stands out among the crowd with its tall ride height. The Mutt Hilts also caught my eye with its military-inspired style.

The Mutt range consists of two types – 125cc and 250cc. It should be noted that Mutt motorcycles are powered by a version of the Suzuki GN engines. Fully tailored to individual preferences, Mutt bikes are built with premium quality.

The Mutt Motorcycles range ranges from P185,000 to P270,000, depending on model and engine size.

That said, Mutt motorcycles aren’t devoid of modern niceties despite their retro looks. They all feature Delphi fuel injection, TIG welded stainless steel, rear gas shocks, CNC machined fork caps, aluminum footpegs, exhaust heat shield and of ABS.

UAAGI said branches in Metro Manila are currently under construction, with the flagship showroom set to rise at Estancia Mall in Mandaluyong. The other Mutt showroom to be increased this year will be located at SM Mall of Asia, just across from Ikea.
