There will now be over a thousand positions on offer at the Manchester Airport Career Fair – a big boost to the initial 600 available.
News of the additional jobs offered will be welcomed by those hoping to land a job at the airport – one of the largest in the country with 22,000 employees and 48,000 other jobs supported by the company.
More than 20 different employers from across the site will be on hand to talk about their vacancies, including Swissport, Boots, HMSHost and Thomas Cook Airlines.
Positions advertised by the career fair include
Cabin crew
Baggage handlers
Receptionists
Cooks
Cleaners
Apprenticeships
Security
Conductors
Customer service agents
Retail assistants
Hosts and catering assistants
Pilots
Job seekers are encouraged to participate to learn more about the roles.
If you want to go to the job fair, you will need to book in advance, which you can do on the Manchester Airport website.
The fair will take place on Thursday April 26 at The Point complex at Lancashire County Cricket Club from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The job bonanza takes place amid big changes at the airport.
Work on the £ 1billion transformation program will more than double the size of Terminal 2, with more than 700 people currently working on the program.
This summer there will also be new connections to Seattle with Thomas Cook Airlines, Florence with BA CityFlyer and Cagliari, Palermo and Ponta Delgada with Ryanair.
Manchester Airport is already one of the largest employment centers in the North West.
