Heathrow Airport is struggling to cope due to staff shortages and an increase in demand as many families travel overseas for the Easter school holidays.
Airline passengers have been hit with flight cancellations and delays.
On Wednesday, British Airways cut at least 78 flights at Heathrow, while easyJet canceled at least 30 at Gatwick.
The aviation industry is suffering from an increase in coronavirus-related staff illnesses and a shortage of workers following job cuts made during the virus crisis.
