AIRASIA Philippines will begin using the Clark International Airport hub from January 2, 2022, as it begins the new year with an increase in flight frequencies, the airline said yesterday.
Steve Dailisan, spokesperson for AirAsia Philippines, said reopening the Clark hub would result in more flights due to high demand starting with the Clark-Caticlan flight three times a week.

From January 1, 2022, AirAsia Philippines is increasing the frequency of flights to Caticlan (34 times per week), Kalibo (eight times per week), Iloilo (10 times per week), Tacloban (28 times per week), Tagbilaran (11 time). per week), Puerto Princesa (daily), Bacolod (11 times a week) and Davao (twice a day).
International flights, meanwhile, include Singapore (every Saturday), Hong Kong (every second Sunday of the month) and Kuala Lumpur (five times a week), which is operated by AirAsia Malaysia.
âWe expect an increase in flights as people return home from their vacations. For this reason, we are adding flights to some key destinations to meet growing demand,â said Dailisan.
The additional flight frequency for January 2022 is almost 41% of pre-pandemic levels. During this time, the average load factor during the holiday period increased to a healthy level of 91-95%.
AirAsia reminds customers to be at the airport at least three to four hours before their scheduled flight and to prepare their travel needs in advance to allow check-in procedures to run smoothly.
